Badger Dingle Waterfall Walk – A Proper Hidden Gem
A quaint village, a woodland trail, a waterfall, and even a couple of caves—this walk has all the makings of a mini adventure. It’s the kind of place that feels like you’ve stumbled into a fairy tale (or at least a very scenic Sunday stroll).
What You Need to Know:
🚗 Parking – There’s no official car park, so most people park near the old, shut-down pub in the village. Classic countryside vibes.
👣 The Route – A gentle, scenic walk through woodland, following the stream towards the main attraction: the waterfall (which is small but very picturesque). Bonus points if you find the hidden caves along the way.
🧑🦽 Pushchair-friendly? – Not really. The path is muddy, uneven, and a bit of a faff with wheels. Best for little legs that can walk (or be carried when they inevitably refuse).
🐶 Dog-friendly? – Absolutely. Expect muddy paws, wet fur, and general doggy happiness.
🍓 Foraging – Blackberries in late summer, so bring a tub (or just eat them as you go).
🥾 Top Tip – Bring wellies if it’s been raining, as the paths can get a bit boggy.
Short, scenic and a perfect excuse for a countryside wander with a little bit of adventure thrown in
