🚶‍♂️ Woodland Walks with a Story
There’s an easy 2.5-mile circular trail that winds through the woods; shady, green and super peaceful. It takes around an hour, and it’s perfect for kids who like to explore. You’ll come across old features like a rotunda, old well in a cave and a quirky little ‘bird house’ folly, which adds a fun twist to the usual forest walk.

💦 Waterfalls & Paddling
There’s a little waterfall and shallow brook where the kids can paddle. It’s a great spot to stop for a snack or just let them splash about for a bit, especially if it’s warm.
This isn’t just a pretty walk, it's got history too. The whole area was landscaped back in the 1700s, so as you go around you’ll spot old garden structures and water features that have been there for centuries. It gives the whole place a magical, almost secret-garden feel.

  • Location: Badger, Shropshire, WV6 7JX

  • Parking: There’s a tiny bit of roadside parking near the start—just park considerately or we parked on the disused pub car park The Red Cow at Ackleton

  • Facilities: No toilets or café, so come prepared!

  • Pushchair Access: Not ideal; it’s a bit bumpy and uneven

  • Dogs: Welcome, but best kept on a lead

  • What to Wear: It gets muddy down there if it's been raining so it's definitely one for the wellies or walking boots if you have them!

  • Waterfall located at ///revival.canal.pounding
