Built in 1925, Wrensmoor Castle AKA Pyrenees Castle, was designed in the style of a French Pyrenees château, rising above a secluded hilltop just outside Los Angeles. Originally conceived as a private estate, the 8,500-square-foot property features 10 uniquely themed bedrooms, expansive entertaining spaces, and panoramic views of the surrounding valley.
Over the years, it has transitioned into a luxury rental and event venue, hosting weddings, film productions, and exclusive gatherings while preserving its old-world character and architectural charm.
The castle is also known for a darker chapter in its history, having been the site of a high-profile murder (Lana Clarkson) that brought national attention to the estate. This event has contributed to its mystique, with some visitors noting an eerie atmosphere within its ornate halls. The combination of storybook design and real-life notoriety makes Wrensmoor Castle a distinctive and intriguing landmark in Southern California.
