Spahn Movie Ranch feels like a place you’re not supposed to fully understand.

Tucked into the hills of Chatsworth, it was once a working movie ranch used for Westerns. but in the late 1960s, it became home to the Manson Family.

This is where they lived. Planned. Built their version of reality before carrying out the murders that would change Los Angeles forever.

The original structures are gone now, destroyed by fire, but the land is still there. Trails, caves, and open space that don’t look like much at first… until you remember what happened here.

NOTE: This place is hard to find and requires a long hike, many parts of the trail are not maintained and you may come across poison oak. Parking here is difficult. I don't recommend trying to find this place. (I tried to find it, and I did not have any luck) Best observed from a far in my opinion.
