Opened in 1927 on Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is one of the most legendary buildings in Hollywood history. The hotel hosted the first Academy Awards ceremony in 1929, and it has long been associated with ghost stories. Some report sightings of Marilyn Monroe and actor Montgomery Clift. The building’s historic architecture has also made it a frequent filming location.
