Strahan is a quaint historic town on the west coast of Tasmania, situated on the edge of Macquarie Harbour.

It is known for its scenery including the nearby Gordon River and it's historic sites like the Strahan Wharf. It's well worth a stroll through the main street here.

This is also the departure point for some of the West Coast Wilderness Railway tours which we have outlined as a separate activity!
