Located on the Tasman Peninsula, the site is a World Heritage-listed convict settlement and Australia's best-preserved convict site. It's a great place to explore the history of Australia's convict past, as well as its rich cultural heritage.

There’s a lot to see and your ticket includes a self guided audio experience, 20 minute harbor cruise and site talks - so we recommend allowing for at least a half day here to explore the ruins of the old prison buildings, see the daily life of the prisoners, and discover the stories of the many people who lived and worked in the settlement.
