Wineglass Bay is a stunner of a beach in Freycinet National Park and it deserves to be right near the top of your Tassie bucketlist.

We're not going to lie - with no roads in our out, to walk on the white sands of this beach you will have to break a bit of a sweat, so we only recommend this one to the physically fit.

From the Wineglass Bay Lookout carpark it is a 6km round trip to the beach and back. The hike will first take you up to the Wineglass Bay lookout before you descend down 1000 stairs (that's not a hyperbole) to the beach. The challenge makes it all the more rewarding diving into the crystal blue waters of the bay.
