The Gamsluggen hike is an incredible adventure in the Swiss Alps. It begins at the Fanas Cable Car Station, riding up to the Maiensäss Eggli station. From the station you hike towards Golrosa at 2124 meter. After that the hike becomes a T4 hike with blue white trail. A short section leading up to Gamsluggen has chains for support. If you have fear of heights I don't recommend to go out. once you arrive to Gamsluggen, enjoy the beautiful view of Lünersee that seems to have a heart shape. ( secret reveal, only from this exact spot it looks like a heart shaped, otherwise it is not)

The hike from the cable car station is 11,8 km and the same back with 1000 m plus incline. Doable as a day hike but keep an eye on the cable car closing time.

Tip: if you have time, cross the border to Austria, hike from Gamsluggen towards Totalphütte and spend the night. The hut is incredidble, welcoming and their local dishes are fantastic. The evening you can witness a magical sunset, and an even more magical sunrise the following morning.

Booking the hut in advance is highly recommended.
