The Uozu Buried Forest Museum in Toyama is a cool spot where you can check out 3,000-year-old tree roots on display. Also known as "Nekko-Land," this museum showcases a buried forest that dates back 2,000 years, offering a glimpse into the region's changing environment since the Jomon period. While it is a small exhibition, I recommend it for the unique factor with the large pool of water and submerged trees.

The museum also doubles as an information hub for the mirage close by and fills in some missing info. Keep a translator app or ChatGPT handy :)
