Picture this.

It's a massive powder day in Hakuba. You have a bunch of resorts lined up the Northern Alps and you have to choose one to carve the snow.

Cortina is where I'm heading, straight to the top lift, take a left of the chair, and drop into the trees down on the skiers left.

Don't get confused, just check out the stats for this resort and it will become an obvious choice.

Hakuba Cortina Ski Resort is known as the powder capital of Hakuba, attracting snow enthusiasts with its abundant snowfall and premier tree skiing. With twice as much snow as other resorts, Cortina offers a relaxed off-piste policy, fun tree lines, and steeper terrain for an exciting skiing experience. The resort's 124 acres of terrain, 17 trails, and 7 lifts provide plenty of options for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Plus, don't miss out on the opportunity to explore the great backcountry and easily accessible side country for some of the best skiing in Japan.
