Very rewarding short walk to get great photos and walk along the rocky shore. After you go down to the cave, take a short walk up the stairs to get views from on top of the cave. Plus, make sure to check out the waterfall near the stairs adjacent to the cave!
Overview
Ganmon is a sea cave on the Noto Kongo Coast, shaped by the Sea of Japan's waves. The cave measures approximately 6 meters wide, 15 meters high, and 60 meters deep, with a pine tree growing atop the rock formation. It's a notable feature within the Noto Kongo Quasi-National Park.
Boat Cruise
Boat tours operate from mid-March to mid-November, offering a 20-minute cruise around Ganmon and nearby coastal formations. These tours provide views of the rugged coastline and unique rock structures. The service resumed on April 30, 2024, after temporary suspension due to damage from the January 1, 2024 earthquake and tsunami.
Visiting
A walking path leads from the parking area to the cave, allowing visitors to view the rock formations and surrounding coastline. The area includes additional walking trails and observation points along the coast.
