Okay, so Cape Egmont Lighthouse is a bit of a detour, but if you're into photography or just appreciate a good view, it's worth it. Imagine the perfect sunrise or sunset shot with Mount Taranaki in the background and the lighthouse right there in the foreground, it’s a pretty stunning scene. To get there, you can’t park right next to the lighthouse, but it’s not too tricky. Just head to the end of Cape Road, where you’ll find a dirt area by the ocean to park. From there, it’s a super short walk (maybe 100–200 meters) to the lighthouse. Whether you’re snapping pics or just enjoying the vibes, this spot is a peaceful little escape and a great place to appreciate the beauty of the coast.
