Three turquoise mountain lakes sitting at around 2,500m elevation, right on the Swiss-Italian border. The water color is genuinely unreal. From the lakes you get a direct view of Mont Blanc massif, Grandes Jorasses, and Mont Dolent. The first lake sits at 2,456m, and you'll pass all three within about 20 minutes of walking. One of them looks heart-shaped.
How to get there
🚗 45min drive from Martigny to Grand-St-Bernard Pass (2,469m). Free parking at the pass
🚞 Train to Martigny → Orsières → Bus 210 to Grand-St-Bernard Pass (2-3 buses daily June-Sept, 48min from Orsières)
Trail starts near the hospice, follow signs "Lacs de Fenêtre" (2-2.5h up)
Alternative: Start from Ferret village for a longer, quieter approach
