Innertkirchen to Wassen (or reverse) via the pass at 2,260m. Closed November to early June due to snow. Night closures 6pm-8am year-round. 45km total, takes about 1-1.5 hours.

It's my personal favorite Mountain Pass that I've done :) lots of tunnels and bridges carved into the mountains. The east side has long valley views, the west side goes through forests. Views of Stein Glacier from multiple points

Must-Stop Places:

• Steingletscher Area – Alpine cheese dairy with shop, plus Berghotel Steingletscher. Drive closer to glacier viewpoint, or hike to see crevasses up close.

• Sustenbrüggli – Restaurant on the Uri side descent, known for rösti and mountain views.

Tips and info:

• Part of the famous "Big 3" loop with Grimsel and Furka passes.

• Best driven early morning mid-week to avoid crowds.

• Much quieter than Furka Pass.
