Easily the largest natural lake in Washington, Chelan is known for its fun in the sun. Water sports, beach parties, and a burgeoning vineyard scene combine to create a pretty ideal spot for warm-weather recreation just east of the Cascades. And while that may all sound like a fantastic time to many, this particular trip I had something a little more off the beaten path in mind – Stehekin.
