Welcome to Heart Lake Wilderness Campground near Lake Placid NY. This waterfront campground is located at the base of Mt Jo, and only a short drive from Lake Placid.

There are a variety of primitive campsites, lean-tos, canvas tents, and yurts that you can rent.

Kayak and canoe rentals are available at the front desk for $20 per hour. You can also swim in Heart Lake when the beach is open.

24 hour heated washrooms are available year round.

To avoid attracting wildlife, keep all food stored inside your vehicle and use bear safe containers.

Pets are normally allowed, but I recommend calling ahead when you make your reservation.
