Akron Falls is located in Akron Falls Park, about 25 miles east of Buffalo. The waterfall is fed by Murder Creek, a tributary of Tonanwanda Creek. It cascades about 40 feet (12 meters) down a rugged rock face, which is perfect for photos or hanging out on the shore. Some people swim here, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. There are a lot of large rocks and you have to be careful when the water is flowing heavily.

The park has picnic areas, fishing spots, and a network of easy to follow hiking trails that wind through wooded areas and along the creek.
