This is a great spot to visit in the summer.

Cool off on a hot day with a dip in Flume Falls on the West Branch of the Ausable River. About 10 miles from Lake Placid, these falls have several swimming holes that are surrounded by beautiful forest.

The Flume is located off Route 86 in Wilmington, with a parking area and trail leading to the swimming spot.

There have been accidents here in the past, especially when the water is high.

Note: This is a wild swimming hole and not a public pool. Always leave no trace by packing out any trash, staying on established trails, and not disturbing wildlife or vegetation.
