(Road access 4x4 only) The 5040 Peak Trail is a challenging hike in British Columbia that offers stunning views of Vancouver Island. The 6.9 km out-and-back route takes hikers through lush forests, past Cobalt Lake, and up to the rugged summit. The trail can be tough at times, but the panoramic views from the top make it all worth it. Don't forget your bear spray and make some noise to alert wildlife as you trek through this beautiful wilderness. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even book a night at the ACC 5040 Alpine Hut for a truly unforgettable experience in the mountains.
