(Bus Bookings now required) Moraine Lake is a stunning glacial-fed lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Every summer the lake reaches its crest around mid-June and dazzles with a bright azure blue. This unique color is a result of refracted light off the rock flour deposited in the lake by surrounding glaciers. Moraine Lake is the setting of many world-famous photographs and is featured on the reverse side of the 1969 and 1979 Canadian Twenty Dollar bill - aptly named “The Twenty Dollar View”.
