Jun and Mizuki Kamakura Like a Local

Tucked away just off the bustling Komachi-dori street, you'll find a local treasure that's been warming the hearts of Kamakura residents since 1978. This cozy spot serves up a rich, European-style Japanese curry that's famous for two things: its incredible depth of flavor and its astonishingly generous portions. Don't be surprised by the line outside; it moves quickly, and the delicious, soul-soothing curry is more than worth the short wait.

  • Open from 11:30AM to 7:30PM

  • Closed on Mondays

Local Tips:

  1. All the curries here are spicy, but the Hayashi rice is not.

  2. There is often a queue, so if you're in a hurry, it might be better to try another place.

  3. Even the regular size is quite large compared to the Japanese average. If you're not very hungry, I recommend choosing the small size.
