Located just a short walk from Gokurakuji Station, Cafe Yoridokoro has gone completely viral on social media—and it’s easy to see why. This charming, renovated traditional house sits right alongside the Enoden railway tracks, offering the thrilling and uniquely Japanese experience of watching the train pass by just inches from your window while you dine.
Their claim to fame is a traditional Japanese breakfast featuring perfectly grilled, succulent dried fish (himono) served with a raw egg over rice. The real fun—and the reason behind its viral fame—is whisking the egg white by hand until it becomes a fluffy, cloud-like meringue before topping it with the yolk. Because of its massive popularity online, there is almost always a long queue, and they don't accept reservations. To snap that perfect viral-worthy video and secure a counter seat right by the tracks, we highly recommend arriving early in the morning!
