🇬🇧 This abandoned ruin used to be a bank, now people just call it the "sniper tower" as snipers where shooting on civilians from the structure during the Bosnian war. Now, graffiti artists use the building for their messages about equality, peace and reconciliation. Many people also climb the building and take pictures on the top, even though the entrance is prohibited. I, personally, think that it is disrespectful to make a playground out of a place that brought death and destruction to the city but of course that is completely up to you to decide – I am not judging people that do climb up as long as they behave carefully and respectfully.

🇩🇪 Diese verlassene Ruine war früher eine Bank, jetzt nennen die Leute sie einfach den "Scharfschützenturm", da Scharfschützen während des Bosnienkrieges von hier aus aus auf Zivilisten schossen. Heute nutzen Graffiti-Künstler das Gebäude für ihre Botschaften über Gerechtigkeit, Gleichberechtigung, Frieden und Versöhnung. Viele Leute klettern auch auf das Gebäude und fotografieren von oben, obwohl der Zutritt verboten ist. Ich persönlich finde es respektlos, aus einem Ort, der Tod und Zerstörung über die Stadt gebracht hat, einen Spielplatz zu machen, aber das liegt natürlich ganz bei dir – ich verurteile niemanden, der den Sniper Tower erklimmt, solange er sich vorsichtig und respektvoll verhält.
