🇬🇧 The Captain's Tower is part of the former fortress in Bihać and is still quite well preserved. It's made from different coloured limestones which gives it an interesting look. Nobody really knows when exactly it was built and historians' believes range from the 1200s to the late 1600s. With the arrival of Austria-Hungary , the Captain's Tower served exclusively as a prison. The tower is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

🇩🇪 Der Kapitänsturm ist Teil der ehemaligen Festung in Bihać und ist noch recht gut erhalten. Er ist aus verschiedenfarbigen Kalksteinen gebaut, was ihm ein interessantes Aussehen verleiht. Niemand weiß genau, wann er gebaut wurde, und die Vermutungen der Historiker reichen von den 1200er bis zu den späten 1600er Jahren. Mit der Ankunft von Österreich-Ungarn diente der Kapitänsturm ausschließlich als Gefängnis. Der Turm ist ein Nationaldenkmal von Bosnien und Herzegowina.
