The hike portion is minimal but once you are on the glacier it is a dream come true and an absolute bucket list item. I recommend a tour with Local Guide, they will put you in a super jeep and drive you to the base of a glacier. IF it is ice cave season (Oct - March) then they will offer Ice Caves tours and this is definitely what you should do! The start of the season changes every year so you might get lucky! They will gear you up with everything you need.
