Spray Lakes is a reservoir located in Kananaskis (Spray Valley Provincial Park) with plenty of spots to explore. It is super accessible. You do have to drive down a gravel road to get here so be prepared to get your car dusty. There is a nice field along the lake from the campground that's usually less busy than the day use areas. The campground is open July 5 - Sept. 15 but you can park along the road right before the campground and still access the lake.

A couple things to note:

  • There is no service in this area (I recommend downloading the map)

  • Spray Lakes can get quite windy at times

  • A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley
