There are some beautiful views and hikes from the Sunshine Village Gondola. And the wildflowers are very beautiful mid-July - mid-August.

Starting/Finishing point: Sunshine village, take gondola up ($68 open 8:00am-6:00pm), then can take ski lift up higher for beautiful 360 degree views (the gondola ride takes 25 minutes)

Once at the top, there are plenty of trails to choose from. The grizzly/laryx trail has the most photo opportunities and takes roughly 2 hours. View trail map here.

• There’s a smokehouse at the top that opens at 11:00am, it's a great spot for lunch, there’s picnic tables outside to sit at - see menu

• There’s also a small coffee bar in the lodge that opens at 7:30am and has some breakfast foods (freshly baked pastries, sweet and savoury crepes, and house-made croissants and bagels)

• And there’s another restaurant in the lodge that serves breakfast from 7:30am - 10:00am, and dinner after 5:00pm, it’s more of a sit down restaurant and reservations are recommended - see menu
