Beach

This is the beach park where we stayed every time we visited Gerês. Although it is technically illegal to camp in the streets in Portugal, we were never confronted by the police, and it's fairly uncommon since there are usually other campervans around. However, if you're planning to stay for a week, I would recommend staying at an official campsite, like Gerês Vidoeiro Camping. The beach is also peaceful for paddling or kayaking in the morning, and it offers a stunning, wide view of the beautiful Gerês mountains. So even if you don't stay here overnight, I highly recommend coming early in the morning to enjoy the tranquility before the locals arrive to have their beach day, as it gets really crowded.
