The Echizen Great Buddha, also known as Echizen Daibutsu, is a massive indoor Buddha statue located at the Daishizan Seidaiji Temple in Fukui. Standing at 17 meters tall, it's the largest Buddha statue in Japan housed under a roof. The temple complex also boasts a towering five-story pagoda and a serene strolling garden with a pond. Visitors can take in the surreal atmosphere of this temple, which was built in the 1980s and modeled after the grand Todaiji Temple in Nara. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
