Oshino Hakkai is a touristy spot in the Fuji Five Lakes region, boasting eight beautiful ponds fed by snow melt from Mount Fuji. Visitors can sip on some cool spring water straight from the source and enjoy the serene atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery. While it can get crowded with tourists, the ponds offer a pleasant escape with interesting plant life and large fish. Don't miss the nearby cherry blossom-lined river for a picturesque view of Mount Fuji during the cherry blossom season in mid to late April.
