Pekarna is the name of a small area of Maribor known as a little alternative and artistry zone. The area received this nickname because it is located where an old military bakery used to be (Pekarna in Slovenian means bakery).

If you’ve visited Metelkova in Ljubljana, you can expect a similar version of it here in Pekarna. It has a similar vibe, just smaller.
