The Strunjan Saltpans are some of the oldest in Europe, and they are still preserving the old traditions, making salt the same way for over 700 years! This is a very interesting thing to see on the Slovenian coast because you get to learn something new while visiting such a beautiful location on the seaside. The salt pans are located right next to the water, creating some of our favorite views. You can take a guided tour of the saltpans or simply visit the area, which is very cycling and walking friendly.
