Dutch Square, also known as Red Square, is one of Melaka’s most photographed spots. Its cluster of bright red colonial buildings — including the Stadthuys, Christ Church, and the Tang Beng Swee Clock Tower — reflects the city’s Dutch heritage from the 17th century. The area’s distinctive colour and architecture make it a vibrant focal point of the old town.

You can stroll around the square, take photos with the flower-adorned trishaws, and explore nearby museums housed within the historic buildings. It’s best visited in the early morning before crowds and the midday heat, or at sunset when the red walls glow in the soft light.
