Message from Mauka Travels

The Barra Olympic Park, also known as Parque Olímpico, is a sports complex originally built for the 2007 Pan American Games. It was later expanded to host the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.

The park features nine venues, including arenas for basketball, gymnastics, and swimming. After the games, it was transformed into the Olympic Training Center, offering sports facilities and educational programs, with a mix of permanent and temporary structures.

Nowadays, the Parque Olímpico is used for major events such as the Rock in Rio.
