The Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, often called Masjid Jamek, is one of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest mosques. Built at the meeting point of the Klang and Gombak rivers, it features elegant Moorish-style domes and minarets framed by palm trees and water views. The peaceful setting contrasts with the bustle of the surrounding city.

Visitors are welcome outside of prayer times, and robes are available for modest dress. It’s located near the Masjid Jamek LRT station, making it easy to reach on foot. Late afternoon visits are ideal for soft light and a calm atmosphere by the river. In the evening, it gets lit with blue lights.
