Island-hopping paradise near Kota Kinabalu

Directions

Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is a group of five tropical islands — Gaya, Manukan, Sapi, Mamutik, and Sulug — just a 15-minute boat ride from Kota Kinabalu. Each island offers clear waters, coral reefs, and white-sand beaches ideal for snorkeling, swimming, or simply relaxing under the trees. Sapi and Manukan are the busiest, while Mamutik and Sulug feel quieter and more natural.

Boats depart daily from Jesselton Point, and you can visit one or several islands in a day. Bring cash for park fees, and go early to enjoy calmer seas and fewer crowds.
