Built by the military, this hut has been run by the Winterthur section of the SAC for some time. With a breathtaking view 900 metres down to Lake Limmern and a fabulous view of Selbsanft, Bifertenstock and Tödi as far as the Kaiserstock. The hut is open from July to around mid-September.

It is worth to stay in this hut when you are planning the traverse from Glarus Tierfehd to Grisons Brigels.
