This little lake is something for everyone, Easy accessible for families with children but also the starting point for more demanding hikes in the Glarus area. If you are coming by public transport you will need to plan a longer way to reach the lake (5.3km, 2hrs & 557m ascent) but I have to say it is indeed also very nice.

Once you reach the lake by car or foot I recommend you to take the left way around the lake where you can already see some beautiful reflections. The Brünnelistock in front of you is really impressive and it almost seems like the Glarus version of Säntis.

The lake is also nice for swimming and having a barbecue.
