On the west side of Dettifoss, visitors can enjoy a paved road leading to a large parking lot with bathrooms. From here, it's an 800-meter walk to the upper viewpoint of Dettifoss, where you can feel the ground shake beneath your feet as the powerful waterfall thunders down. The lower viewpoint offers a closer look at Dettifoss, but be prepared for some steep uphill walking. Selfoss is also accessible from the west side, providing a view of its elegant cascades. Just watch out for the water spray that can make photography challenging!
