Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge, also known as Red-Cloak Rift, is a stunning gorge located in Botnsfjall Mountain on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland. Visitors can walk up to and climb inside the gorge during the summer months. According to local folklore, the gorge is tied to a saga about a half-giant guardian spirit of the peninsula. To reach Rauðfeldsgjá, drive north from Reykjavík along Route 1 to Route 54, then follow Útnesvegur towards Snæfellsjökull glacier. The gorge is near the national park and offers a unique and adventurous experience for those willing to explore its depths.
