If you want an easy, relaxing lake day in Lucerne, Strandbad Lido Luzern is the best place to swim, relax, and let kids run free. This large lakeside swimming complex sits right on Lake Lucerne with incredible views of Mount Pilatus and the surrounding mountains.
There’s something here for everyone: lake swimming areas with floating platforms, multiple pools, grassy lawns for picnicking, and plenty of space for kids to play. It’s a local favorite on warm summer days and a perfect way to slow down between bigger mountain adventures.

Right along the lakefront just outside the city center, about a 10 minute drive or bus ride from Lucerne Old Town. It’s next to the Swiss Museum of Transport, which makes it easy to combine both in one outing.
