The Walls of Trabzon, also known as Trabzon Castle, are a series of defensive walls surrounding the old town of Trabzon in northeastern Turkey. These walls, which date back to Roman times, divide the city into three parts: the Upper Town, Middle Town, and Lower Town. The Upper Town served as the citadel and housed the imperial palace of the Empire of Trebizond. Despite some sections being demolished over time, many parts of the walls still stand today, making them one of the city's oldest structures. In recent years, efforts have been made to preserve and showcase these historic fortifications.
