An iconic Chongqing photospot

Chongqing is a city of contrasts, and nowhere is that more obvious than on Chaodong Road.

Just across the street from the guildhall, the surrounding streets and alleyways are full of wholesale markets that need to move their goods up and down the city's staircases.

Because of that, they can't use cars, meaning that they employ local labourers to carry everything by hand.

What makes this spot iconic though is the crazy modern Raffles mall in the background that looks like a huge spaceship from the future.

That contrast between the labourers working and the shiny skyscraper in the background makes for a powerful shot.
