Local Tip: Visit midweek for near-total solitude.

Castle Rock Beach is a secluded spot on Sydney Harbour that can only be reached on foot down steep stairs. It's a small sandy beach with big freestanding boulders and a waterfall after rain. Perfect for a quiet swim and some relaxation, but there are no facilities around, so bring your own supplies. Accessible as part of the Spit to Manly walk or by limited street parking nearby. A very quiet "hidden gem" amongst the many beaches along Sydney Harbour!
