National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti" is a charming open-air museum located in Bucharest. It showcases the rich cultural heritage of Romanian rural life through a collection of traditional houses, farms, and churches that have been carefully relocated from various regions of the country.

Take the whole day to visit the museum. The huge surface of the museum and the diversity of the exhibits will most likely take a lot of time to cover.

Visitors can stroll through the picturesque pathways, exploring over 300 authentic structures that reflect different architectural styles and lifestyles from various historical periods. All households are furnished, tooled up and decorated with authentic objects from the same area. The elements used by the peasant for remodelling are: ceramic plates, towels hanged on the walls, religious glass icons, dowry chests, wool and cotton fabrics obtained in the folk household.

And it's not only just about the buildings; the museum also hosts various events, workshops, and festivals that celebrate Romanian traditions, crafts, and folk art. Whether it's watching artisans at work or enjoying a folk dance performance, there's always something lively happening here.
