The Cascades Loop Track (Cascades Waterfall) in Whakanewha Regional Park is a short but lovely walk, perfect for a peaceful nature escape 🌿. While the water cascade isn’t quite a full waterfall, it’s still a beautiful sight, with small waterfalls tumbling through a rocky gully 💧. At the base, you’ll find a seat and a picnic spot, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings 🧺.

The track winds through a stunning stretch of forest, with two access points: you can start from the Sculpture Car Park on Gordon Road via the Nikau Track, or from the car park on Carsons Road. Both options offer pretty forest paths 🌳 and take you through native bush, with gentle inclines and a few steps. The walk is easy and well-maintained, with gravel and dirt tracks making it comfortable for all fitness levels. It’s a relaxing loop that takes about an hour to complete, depending on how much time you want to spend soaking in the views ⏱️.
