Bericht van
Kishia Veigel

This is one of those quiet, Old Florida spots that is worth a stop. While the lighthouse itself is usually closed, the grounds are peaceful, and the beach nearby is absolutely worth checking out. There are mangrove-lined walking paths and a butterfly garden here too.

The shelling here is incredible, especially in the winter months. Bring a bag and take your time — I’ve found some of my best shells here. Sunrise and sunset are both beautiful, and the setting feels untouched.

Parking is limited, so arriving early is a good move. Once you’ve explored the area, it’s a quick drive or bike ride into downtown Boca Grande, which is charming, low-key, and perfect for a wander, lunch, or a coffee break.
