The Fontana di Trevi is an iconic Baroque-style fountain located in the Trevi district of Rome, Italy. It was completed in 1762 and stands 26.3 metres high and 49 metres wide. It was designed by the renowned Italian architect Nicola Salvi and is widely considered to be one of the most famous fountains in the world. Visitors to the fountain can enjoy its beautiful sculptures, cascading water, and picturesque backdrop. The fountain pays homage to the ancient Roman aqueduct system with the help of a large god Oceanus pulling a shell chariot depicting heavenly aquatic creatures such as Hippocamps and Tritons. Throwing coins into the Fontana di Trevi is said to bring good luck, making it a fun tradition for visitors to take part in.
