Step back in time as you wander through the magnificent ruins of El Badi Palace, once known as 'The Incomparable'.

The Palace is one of Marrakech’s historical sites - a vast ruined palace that once symbolized the power and wealth of the Saadian dynasty in the 16th century. Today, what remains are massive sunken courtyards, high ochre walls and open spaces that give you a real sense of its former scale and grandeur.

Although much of the original decoration has been lost over time, the sheer size and layout still make it easy to imagine how magnificent the palace once was. It’s also commonly used for cultural events and exhibitions, which occasionally bring the space back to life in a modern context.

  • Entry ticket required (100 MAD)

  • Best visited morning or late afternoon

  • Can be under Construction

Honest Opinion: It’s not a “polished palace” anymore, but If you enjoy history or photography, this is one is for you.
